Who We are

We are a Church.

We are Anglican.

We are Christ the Foundation.

We are a Church. We are a worshiping and witnessing community of people who Jesus is drawing to himself. Christ is our center. We exist to worship him, and as we encounter him in worship we are being transformed, becoming more like him. And as we become like him he is sending us out in mission, to love and serve him, so that others will come to encounter him. Being Christ-centered, we are biblically rooted and historically grounded.

We are Anglican. Anglican is our context for being and making disciples. Echoing our Diocese, this means Ancient Faith, Global Relationships, Local Mission. We embrace the three streams of historical Christian faith: Word, Sacrament, and Spirit. We are shaped by the global church, being part of the world-wide family of Anglicans, especially in Rwanda. And we are defined by the gospel, participating in God’s mission in our local communities. Read more here.

We are Christ the Foundation. We were founded with a strong sense of commitment and a desire to be a faithful church for the next generation. Five core values have marked the life of our church from it’s beginning, and we see these as the gifts God has given us, that he is also giving to the world through us: Multigenerational Community, Feasting Together, Liturgical Worship, Shared Ministry, & Hospitality.
